The Lender is Milwaukee's only year round dive Charter. Like Caption Bob, Caption Jerry Guyer has been operating out of Milwaukee's water forever and you'll be hard pressed to find someone more knowledgeable about local dive history.
If you want to learn technical diving, look up Greg Such. He is by far the finest tech instructor in the great lakes. He trained me to dive the USS Monitor. He has an excellent mix of TDI and DIR philosophies. His Charter business runs out of Two Rivers WI but he has trips to many other locations. He is a first class operator.
John Johnson is an excellent open water instructor with a first class shop located in Racine, WI.
Located in Skokie IL Scuba System is an excellent shop catering to divers from open water to trimix.

Tom Head is a great story teller who runs a very cool tech scuba shop in the middle of the desert in Tempe, AZ. I had a lot of fun listening to his war stories. He has some great trips to the Philippines and Sea of Cortez.
Joe is a fantastic underwater photographer and his staff was great. I had one day to dive while in Costa Mesa and they took care of rentals, site directions and anything else I needed. Look them up when in Orange County.
